Yi Zhou was born and raised in Beijing. She is an artist and independent designer. In 2013, She received her MA in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, and move back to her hometown in the winter.

Most of Yi’s projects are drawn from sociological angles, and focusing primarily on the interrelation between human relations and behavior. She takes inspiration from the mundane through observation and categorization, then transferring those insights and analysis into a playful artistic manifestations. Yi's overseas experiences provides her with an international outlook, tapping knowledge from chinese culture and contemporary western art and design.

Her art work ‘Body Memory’ was exhibited at the ‘ERTIAO Art Festival’ organized by Homeshop Beijing December. Early 2014, she was invited to be a ʻguest artistʼ for ʻAsina Creative Meetup/2014ʼ New York by MusicDish*China. While her project ‘Working together?‘ was featured in December's iLOOK magazine issue 232.
